MindSalt Time and Expense is a 100% web-based application and can be accessed from any operating system with a browser installed on it. Although MindSalt Time and Expense may run on multiple browsers, we support Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
MindSalt provides time and expense data export capabilities for QuickBooks. You may also export data to CSV for import into other accounting applications.
Reports can be generated in a number of standard formats including PDF, HTML, Excel, and CSV.
You may define any number of groups (called "access control groups") and define what privileges the members of the group may have. This may include access to administrative screens and/or sensitive reports such as those with cost and billing information. This is often useful for providing privileged access to payroll personnel without having to make them an administrator of the system.
Yes. You may configure groups of users (called "access control groups") and apply privileges to those groups, including which reports that group of users can view. Users may belong to multiple groups and they inherit the privileges of each group that they belong to.
Absolutely. You may define and combine rates for employees, clients, projects, and tasks. You can even define when certain rates should take effect. For example, in December you may setup new rates for employees which should take effect January 1.
No. MindSalt hosts the software and database on our servers. We provide the security, the updates, the backups, and the support. Read more about our infrastructure.
Companies are billed on a per-user-per-month basis. Your per-user-per-month charge is based on the modules that you have enabled. Using this model, you are only billed for what you use. For more information, please visit our pricing page.
We make it easy to get help. Located in the top-right of every page within MindSalt Time and Expense is a 'Page Help' link. Clicking the link will direct you to the section within our online help documentation for the screen that you are on. There is no need to hunt through a user guide to figure out how to submit a timesheet. However, if you would like to read the guide from start to finish, you can do that too.
Yes. By default you will see a weekly timesheet view. However, we can modify your timesheet view to display timesheets in a biweekly, semi monthly, or monthly view. Simply let us know by contacting us and we'll make the adjustment on your account.
Yes. You may make a project available to all employees or limit it to just a few. Only those users with permission to track time and expense to a project may do so. Other users will not see the project as an available option.
Sure! You may adjust the terminology used throughout the system to match what you use in your company.
Certainly! Create a free, 30-day trial today. The trial provides you with full access to all modules that you activated. If you decide to subscribe to the service, simply click the 'End Trial and Activate Account' button located on your homepage after logging in. Any data that you entered during your trial will remain available. If during your trial you decide not to continue using our service, simply let your trial account expire.
